some of the easiest materials

to recycle...one stack of newspapers

a yard high saves one tree from

getting chopped down!

You can also use the comics for

wrapping paper!

You can make your own wrapping paper! Use the comics section from the newspaper, use old drawing paper-turn it over and

make new designs, or reuse old gift wrap.

We even like to save ribbons and bows

from presents that we already opened.

The more paper you reuse, the more trees you can save!

Plus, you can make unique gift wrap!

Teach your kids how to ride a bike!

This is a earth friendly habit and creates

healthy beings! Bike reading causes NO

pollution and is SUPER fun!

Are the ants driving you BUGGY?!

Instead of using harsh chemicals or poisonous

ant traps, first try to find where they are coming

into your home and block it up. If this doesn't

work (ants are very tricky), squeeze some lemon

juice by their entrances- they also

don't like cayenne pepper, bone meal charcoal

dust, chalk, and talcum powder...

Got a Baby in the house?

A baby can go through 5,000 diapers

before he or she learns to go in the potty.

If you use the disposable kind, that's almost a

ton more diapers inthe landfill.

Plus, many disposable diapers contain perfumes,

dyes, and gels that can  be absorbed

into baby's precious new skin.

Try out cloth or reusable diapers!

Not only are they very

cozy for baby, but they

will save you a lot of money!

If you don't like the idea of washing them,

check to see if you have a local diaper service.

If you really need to use disposable diapers, check out the

new ones that are made from recycled materials.

You can even put some in the compost!
